Heerema Fabrication Group (HFG) strives to excel and exceed our client's expectations, and to attain the ultimate objective of an accident-free workplace.
State-of-the-art integrated management systems cover all phases of a project, from tendering through to project completion. In 1999, as a further commitment to the continual improvement culture in operations, HFG introduced the Total Quality Management philosophy utilizing the rating tools developed by DNV (IQRS). A continuation of this policy resulted in 2005 in the development of a tailor made integrated audit protocol "CHEQSERT" which encompasses standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and IIP as well as selected elements of the IQRS and ISRS models.
HFG has integrated its approach to Quality, Safety, Health and the Environment into a single management system.
Top of the document hierarchy are the HFG Management Manual and Policy Documents which describe the policies and corporate rules for each operating company. Within these boundaries, each operating company has implemented its own accredited Management System in accordance with the appropriate Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental standards.
Corporate Governance
The Heerema Fabrication Group considers clarity and openness in accountability and supervision as the cornerstones of proper management and entrepreneurship. The company has a sound system of corporate governance. Good corporate governance is anchored in an open company culture that is characterized by entrepreneurship, technical professionalism and accepted civil standards.
The Heerema Fabrication Group is based on two fundamental management principles:
- Decentralised, autonomous operating companies (see organisation chart), working in a combined strategic environment.
- Detailed, accurate project management.
The two complement each other in order to ensure the best usage of resources and reliability in the delivery of services to our clients.
The Heerema Fabrication Group has internal risk management and control systems based on the principles of effective management control and tailored to the day-to-day working environment in which HFG and the operating companies operate worldwide. The role of HFG is to pursue, maintain and advance the internal risk management and control systems throughout the company.
