In this market, Heerema Fabrication Group (HFG) acts as main contractor for the engineering and fabrication of heavy steel constructions like modules for refineries, (petro)chemical plants, gas receiving terminals and power stations.

HFG's yards mainly build pre-assembled units (PAU) and pre-assembled pipe racks (PAR). These PAUs and PARs are built and tested at one of HFG's fabrication yards, transported to a site and erected locally to form a complete plant.
