<p>Heerema Fabrication Group (HFG) completed the construction of the minimum facilities platforms for the Clipper South Development and the Breagh Alpha Development. Both EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contracts were awarded by RWE Dea UK.</p>
<p><br />
At the HFG Vlissingen fabrication location, the 900 tons jacket with a height of 43 meters and the 2,300 tons topsides of the Clipper South platform were constructed in just 14 months after contract award in April 2010. The Clipper South topsides, which has accommodation for 40 persons, sailed away from the Heerema Vlissingen yard to its final destination on 25 August and was successfully installed offshore on 27 August. The Clipper South platform is installed in a water depth of approximately 23 meters with gas export via a 12" pipeline connecting the platform to the ConocoPhillips-operated LOGGS complex for onwards transportation to the Theddlethorpe terminal in the UK.<br />

<br />
In parallel at the HFG Vlissingen location, the 1,700 tons Breagh Alpha jacket with a length of 84 meters was built, whilst the 1,271 tons topsides was constructed at the Zwijndrecht location. After contract award on 31 July 2010, the construction of the topsides began in December 2010 and the jacket in March 2011. Construction of the Breagh Alpha platform was completed within a year of contract award. Currently, the Breagh Alpha topsides and jacket are ready for offshore installation by our sister company Heerema Marine Contractors. The Breagh field is located in UKCS blocks 42/12a and 42/13a of the Southern North Sea in 62 meters water depth, approximately 100 kilometers east of Teesside. <br />
<br />
Wim Matthijssen, COO of Heerema Fabrication Group comments: ?Executing two fast track projects, in parallel to the highest achievable completion and commissioning levels onshore in one year provided an enormous challenge. A tremendous achievement which could only be reached thanks to the commitment of our dedicated project teams and workforce at both yards, suppliers and subcontractors. Both contract awards are a result of our expertise gained on previous RWE projects and the confidence of our client, RWE, in our ability to execute fast track EPC projects. A confidence we were able to live up to and deliver.?<br />

</strong><strong>Heerema Vlissingen, one of the three production locations of Heerema Fabrication Group (HFG), successfully completed the construction and installation of the state-of-the-art F3-FA mobile production platform of Centrica Energy in the F3-FA Field on the Dutch Continental shelf on 4 September.</strong>&nbsp;<br />
<br />
Heerema Vlissingen was awarded the EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation) contract in February 2009 by Centrica Energy for the largest gas platform of its kind to be installed anywhere in the world. This innovative gas platform is self-installing and portable so that it can be moved to a new location once production from the F3-FA field is complete.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
The platform has a total height of 133 metres of which the legs are 75 meters long and weigh 1,200t each. The topsides have a weight of 4,000 tonnes and are 50 metres wide, 30 metres long and 30 metres in height. The total weight of the platform is 8,800 tonnes.<br />

<div>&nbsp;<br />
Tino Vinkesteijn, managing director of Heerema Zwijndrecht and Heerema Vlissingen said: &#8220;This is already the second major project to be completed this year by Heerema Fabrication Group, which once more demonstrates our excellent project management capabilities. It&#8217;s a major achievement for our project team when it comes to managing all the inter- faces of this complex project, to be finished well ahead of time. Centrica selected Heerema Fabrication Group as its partner for the execution of this project based on its experience and solution-driven approach. Technically it was a challenging project, as this technology has never been used before on a platform of this size in the harsh North Sea environment.<br />
&nbsp;&nbsp;</div>
<div align="center"><img border="0" alt="" src="/Portals/2/Content/NewsMedia/News/Centrica F3Fa.jpg" width="300" height="247" /></div>
<div align="center"><strong>&nbsp; <span style="font-family: Arial">Centrica F3-FA platform after successful&nbsp;positioning on 4 September<br style="font-family: " />
</span></strong></div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>&#8220;Completion of this platform has generated various milestones for our Vlissingen yard&#8221;, according to Frank Slangen, overall project manager of Heerema Vlissingen. &#8220;This unique platform is the largest to date ever built at our Vlissingen yard and has been fabricated in record-time of less than one year. It created approximately 1,000,000 man hours of work for Heerema Vlissingen and its direct subcontractors. To successfully execute this project on-time a large number of subcontractors were appointed, which created a challenge for project management to manage the entire scope with all its interfaces. Also thanks to our partners Iv-Oil &amp; Gas and SPT Offshore, we succeeded to adapt the concept to a much&nbsp;larger scale of this platform&#8221;, continues Frank.<br />
<br />
John Brusik, project manager Centrica Energy, continues: &#8220;It has been an extremely challenging and phase-built design pushing several boundaries. It uses four huge five-storey high suction buckets each big enough to hold more than 2.5 million litres of water to anchor it in position. The self-installed platform was towed more than 200 kilometres from the Netherlands to the F3-FA field. With completion of the successful installation we have reached a fantastic milestone.&#8221;<br />
<br />
&#8220;A magnificent performance of the entire project team. Only few will realize that a master piece has been executed&#8217;, according to Rob van de Waal, managing director of Iv-Groep.<br />
<br />
Mark Riemers, managing director of SPT Offshore adds: &#8220;This has been a massive achievement. After more than 1,5 years of hard work and facing many challenges we managed to successfully install the platform well before the contractual date .&#8221;<br />
<br />
The F3-FA field is located in the north of the Dutch sector, about 240 kilometres north of Den Helder in a water depth of 40 metres. Centrica is developing the field, which was initially discovered in the early 1970s.<br />

<p>Heerema Vlissingen, one of the three production locations of Heerema Fabrication Group (HFG), has been awarded the EPC contract of a minimum facilities platform for the Breagh A Development. This is the second contract this year to be awarded by RWE Dea UK to Heerema Vlissingen, following an award of an EPC contract in April earlier this year for a minimum facilities platform for the Clipper South Development.</p>
<p><img border="0" alt="" align="right" src="/Portals/2/Content/NewsMedia/News/ClipperSouth.gif" width="300" height="297" />For the Breagh A development, HFG will construct the jacket, topsides and piles at their Vlissingen yard in the Netherlands with a planned delivery date of late July 2011. The jacket will be approximately 85 meters tall with a total weight (including the piles) of some 4,000 tonnes. The topsides will weigh approximately 1,400 tonnes.</p>
<p>The Breagh A field is located in UKCS block 42/13 of the southern North Sea in 62 metres water depth, approximately 100 kilometres to the east of Teesside. Gas will be exported via a 20" pipeline to be laid from the platform to the UK mainland.</p>
<p>The jacket, topsides and piles for the Clipper South development shall also be constructed in HFG&#8217;s yard in Vlissingen, with a planned delivery date of early July 2011. The jacket will be approximately 40 metres tall with a total weight (including the piles) of some 1,160 tonnes. The topsides will weigh approximately 2,000 tonnes.</p>
<p>The Clipper South field is located in UKCS blocks 48/19 and 48/20 of the southern North Sea in 23 metres water depth, approximately 169 kilometres to the east of the Theddlethorpe gas processing terminal. As operator RWE Dea holds a 50 percent interest, with the remaining 50 percent stake held by Fairfield Acer Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of Fairfield Energy plc). The Clipper South gas field lies in the Sole Pit basin within the Rotliegend tight-gas play fairway, and produced gas will be exported to the UK.</p>
<p>&#8220;The EPCs are a major milestone in bringing both fields into production. We are happy to award these contracts to such an experienced contractor as Heerema Vlissingen. We hope to achieve initial gas production of Clipper South during Q1 2012, with Breagh to follow during Q3 2012,&#8221; said Ralf to Baben, Chief Operating Officer of RWE Dea AG.</p>
<p>Remco van Gilst, Manager Commercial and Sales of Heerema Zwijndrecht and Heerema Vlissingen comments: &#8220;We are very happy to serve RWE again as a key customer and continuing our successful relationship. We are confident that both of these projects will be completed in time and most of all executed safely, hence reaffirming the reputation of Heerema and the services and quality our customer can rely on.&#8221;</p>

<br />
</strong><strong>Heerema Zwijndrecht, one of the three production locations of Heerema Fabrication Group (HFG), officially handed over the massive 11,000-tons weighing Valhall Re-Development Integrated Production &amp; Hotel Facility deck to its owners BP Norge. Tuesday at 06:00 pm the barge carrying the deck has set course to the Valhall field offshore Norway for installation.</strong>&nbsp;</div>
<div><br />
Heerema Zwijndrecht was awarded the fabrication and integration contract in March 2007 of the 11,000-tons weighing Integrated Production &amp; Hotel Facility topsides together with the 350-tons flare boom structure of which fabrication started in November 2007. Additionally, on 23 June 2009 Heerema Zwijndrecht received the award for the fabrication of the 2,000-tons Weather Deck module.&nbsp;<br />
</div>
<div>The BP Valhall main deck is 100 meter long, 47 meter wide and 50 meter in height. The total height after crane installation is 68.5 meter. Sail away to offshore Norway of the flareboom, bridges 1 and 2 and the weather deck module, flareboom and bridge is planned for 16 and 20 July respectively.&nbsp;<br />
</div>
<div>Ronald Wiebes, project manager of Heerema Zwijndrecht says: &#8220;Until the very last minute before sail away everyone was working very hard to complete the main deck. It was with great pride that I saw the deck leaving for its final offshore destination. A true master piece, which we could not have accomplished without the excellent support of everyone involved in the project execution. In this respect I would like to thank our customer BP Norge for their cooperation. With their assistance and trust we have accomplished a high quality platform which should last for at least 40 years in the harsh North Sea environment. &#8221;&nbsp;<br />

<div><br />
Tino Vinkesteijn, managing director of Heerema Zwijndrecht and Heerema Vlissingen adds: &#8220;First of all I would like to express our appreciation to our employees, subcontractors, suppliers, BP&#8217;s site team and all others for their commitment and very hard work to achieve this major accomplishment. This project is the biggest to date and demonstrates our flexibility to manage challenging complex projects like this one and be able to deliver a high quality product in time. It furthermore has created substantial employment for more than 2,500,000 man hours at our yard and subsequent supply chain.&#8221;&nbsp;<br />
</div>
<div>Chris Ruthven, Topsides Project Manager BP, continues: &#8220;This has been a huge undertaking. The BP Valhall Re-Development is a complex project designed for 40 years and built to high specifications. BP and their partners would like to thank Heerema Fabrication Group for their commitment and effort to achieve a high standard of completion.&#8221;&nbsp;<br />

<p>Heerema Hartlepool was awarded the fabrication contract in March 2008 for this process deck including a 550 tonne bridge. The deck measure 60 metres in length, 36 metres in width and 42 metres in height. The bridge has a length of 80 metres. The project is one of its biggest to date and has created more than 800 jobs for people in Hartlepool and subsequent supply chain. At the Buzzard oilfield the deck will be installed on the 3,500 tonne jacket fabricated by HFG&#8217;s fabrication facility Heerema Vlissingen, which jacket has been delivered in August 2009.</p>
<p>Frank Moran, Managing Director of Heerema Hartlepool says: "Completing such a challenging project safely is a major accomplishment. It demonstrates again that the UK still has the expertise and capacity to execute the larger offshore projects, despite strong competition from overseas. To our employees, subcontractors, suppliers, Nexen&#8217;s client team and all others who have contributed to the success of the Project, we express our appreciation for their commitment and hard work."</p>
<p>Chris Reay, Project Manager of Heerema Hartlepool adds: "The pipework design of the deck is extremely complex and the construction programme was very tight. To achieve the high level of completion is a credit to the team at Heerema Hartlepool and our suppliers and subcontractors. This combined with the integrated working approach with the Nexen Site Team and good communication has resulted in a very satisfying Project to work on and something we should all be proud of.&#8221;</p>
<p>The Buzzard field was discovered in June 2001 and was developed by three bridge-linked platforms, of which the 9,500 tonne utilities deck has been fabricated and delivered by Heerema Hartlepool in April 2006.</p>

<p>Today at Heerema Zwijndrecht the 11,000-tons BP Valhall main deck leaves the fabrication hall.</p>
<p><font color="#000000">Heerema Zwijndrecht, one of the three production locations of Heerema Fabrication Group (HFG), today reached a milestone in the construction of the Valhall Re-Development Integrated Production &amp; Hotel Facility deck for BP Norge. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp;As maximum fabrication height has been reached the 11,000-tons weighing topsides leaves the extensive fabrication hall at Heerema Zwijndrecht for further completion outside. </p>
<p><font color="#000000">Heerema Zwijndrecht was awarded the fabrication and integration contract in March 2007 of the 11,000-tons weighing Integrated Production &amp; Hotel Facility topsides together with the 350-tons flare boom structure of which fabrication started in November 2007. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp;Additionally, at 23 June 2009 Heerema Zwijndrecht received the award for the fabrication of the 2,000-tons Weather Deck module. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp;Although Heerema Zwijndrecht&#8217;s facility has a capacity which ranks amongst the largest indoor facilities in Europe, due to limited space the unit has to be moved outside to fully complete the topsides. </p>
<p>The BP Valhall main deck will measure 100 meter in length, 47 meter in width and 50 meter in height<strong>. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes">&nbsp;</strong>It is expected that all the structures; main deck, weather deck module, flare boom as well as bridges 1and 2 will leave the Heerema Zwijndrecht location in May/June 2010 for their final destination offshore Norway. Once completed the topsides will have a weight of over 13,000-tons, excluding Power-from -shore module and Living Quarters. </p>
<p><img style="width: 652px; height: 437px" border="0" alt="" src="/Portals/2/Content/NewsMedia/News/Site move BP Valhall deck at Heerema Zwijndrecht.JPG" width="652" height="437" />&nbsp; </p>
<p>Ronald Wiebes, project manager of Heerema Zwijndrecht says: &#8220;We are very proud to have reached this important project milestone. During the fabrication we were faced with a lot of challenges, but thanks to our dedicated and highly skilled people, we were able to mitigate the impacts. Also our close relationship with BP&#8217;s project team has contributed to this success and together we will deliver a high quality product to our client BP.&#8221; </p>
<p>Tino Vinkesteijn, managing director of Heerema Zwijndrecht and Heerema Vlissingen adds: &#8220;This project demonstrates our capabilities in managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects, like this integrated deck for BP Norge. Not only the complexity was a challenge but also managing 1,200 people working simultaneously on this project. This contract has provided substantial employment for more than 2,000,000 man hours at our yard, with additional supply-chain jobs being created for other companies across this region and the Netherlands. This is considered particularly important during these challenging economic times.&#8221;</p>
<p>Chris Ruthven, Project Manager BP, continues: &#8220;The site move represents a significant progress milestone for the BP operated Valhall Re-development Project for which everyone involved can feel justifiably proud. I would like to thank the Heerema organisation, and all their sub-contractors, for the tremendous efforts made in reaching this important point, The team can now focus all its energies on having the main deck, and other important Heerema based elements of the Project, fully complete and commissioned prior to sail away.&#8221;</p>

</strong></div>
<div>Earlier this year Heerema Hartlepool, in tandem with sister company HFG Engineering, successfully completed an EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contract for the UK&#8217;s first offshore windfarm substation, which was loaded out and positioned off the east coast of England in September. <br />
<br />
Securing this latest project will safeguard employment at the Hartlepool facility, which is currently also constructing and commissioning the 6,500 tonne Nexen Buzzard Production Sweetening Deck and Bridge, due for offshore installation in the spring of 2010. Between them, the projects in hand in 2009 have provided employment for more than 1,000 personnel at Heerema Hartlepool, with additional supply-chain jobs being created for other companies in the North East region and further afield. <br />
<br />
Each of the Sheringham Shoal decks has a length of 30.5 metres, width of 17.7 metres and height of 16 metres, with a weight of approximately 1,000 tonnes. The topsides will be constructed and onshore commissioned in Heerema Hartlepool&#8217;s extensive indoor fabrication halls in Hartlepool. They are scheduled to sail out from Hartlepool in September 2010. <br />
</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Frank Moran, Managing Director of Heerema Hartlepool says: &#8220;The award of Sheringham Shoal is another important step for Heerema Hartlepool and HFG in the expanding offshore wind energy sector. It builds on our earlier successes in this area, drawing on our extensive offshore oil and gas experience for this new market. We are proud to be in a position to play our part in implementing the Government&#8217;s green energy strategy over the coming years and, especially in these challenging economic times, to continue providing substantial employment in Hartlepool and the North East. We look forward to working with AREVA, Project Managers Wood Group Engineering and owners Statoil and Statkraft to achieve a safe and successful completion of this important project. We will of course continue to serve the oil and gas industry as before, as indeed the Heerema Group has done successfully for almost 60 years&#8221;. <br />
<br />
Situated between 17-23 km north off the Norfolk coast and due to come on-stream in late 2011, the Sheringham Shoal wind farm will generate 1.1TWh of green energy annually, or enough to power 220,000 British homes. Compared to fossil fuels that&#8217;s a reduction of around 500,000 tonnes of CO2 every year. <br />
<br />
The Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm Project is owned jointly by Statoil (50%) and Statkraft (50%) through Scira Offshore Energy Ltd. Statoil is operator for the development phase and Scira will be the operator of the wind farm. <br />

On 18 August the Panama Canal Authority (ACP) signed the contract with the winning Consortium Grupo Unidos por el Canal (GUPC) for the Panama Canal Expansion program. <br />
<br />
</strong>Early this year Heerema Zwijndrecht submitted a proposal to the consortium for the delivery of 16 lock gates each weighing 2,500 ton. The work scope offered comprises overall project management, including Fabrication, Transportation and Installation of the Panama Canal Third Set of Locks. Currently Heerema Zwijndrecht is in the final stage of detailing the full agreement. </div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>In close consultation with the consortium GUPC, Heerema Zwijndrecht submitted an innovative technical proposal to meet the requirements of ACP&#8217;s request with respect to minimizing risks and to meet the completion date by 2014, which is the 100th anniversary of the first Panama Canal transit. </div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The Locks Project has two lock lanes namely: the Atlantic lock and the Pacific lock facility. Each lane will have three consecutive lock chambers of approximately 55 meters wide, 18.3 meters deep and 427 meters long. The chambers will be locked by horizontally rolling gates of 60 meters wide, 28 meters high and 10 meters thickness. The total number of gates is eight per lane, in total 16 lock gates with a total weight of 40,000 ton. </div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>&#8220;We are very proud that Heerema Zwijndrecht is part of the winning Consortium for the execution of this prestigious Panama Canal Expansion Project. With our experience in the fabrication of lock gates and complex offshore structures, we are convinced that we can create added value for ACP in meeting their requirements&#8221;, according to Wim Matthijssen, Managing Director of Heerema Zwijndrecht. </div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Jan-Pieter Klaver, CEO of Heerema Fabrication Group continues: &#8220;Heerema Fabrication Group aims to offer our clients innovative engineering driven fabrication solutions. Being part of the selected consortium nominated with the &#8216;best value&#8217; regarding technical solution and price fully supports our goal.&#8221; <br />

</div>
<div>Today the 3,500t jacket which measures 42 x 42 x 124m together with eight 96-inch piles with a total weight of 2,200t were loaded on a barge from Heerema Vlissingen&#8217;s construction quay for transportation to Nexen&#8217;s Buzzard oilfield some 30 miles north-east of Peterhead in Scotland.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>
<div align="center"><img style="width: 424px; height: 282px" border="0" alt="" src="/Portals/2/Content/Activities/Projects/Nexen jacket load-out 6Aug2008 141.jpg" width="424" height="282" /></div>
&nbsp;</div>
<div>In the meantime HFG&#8217;s fabrication facility Heerema Hartlepool is fabricating the 6,000t process deck and 500t bridge, due for load out in March 2010.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Wim Matthijssen, Managing Director of Heerema Vlissingen says: &#8220;We are very pleased in achieving our commitment for an early jacket completion well ahead of the scheduled date, allowing an earlier installation than originally planned. The early jacket installation reduces the installation and hook-up work when the topside and bridge, built to suit the as-installed jacket, are installed in the 2010 installation period. This successful delivery is a result of driving EPC contracts from a fabrication point of view. A special note of appreciation goes to our experienced and dedicated work force, who were able to get the job done under challenging conditions as during project execution phase various projects were simultaneously fabricated.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>&#8220;Due to zero changes after design completion, timely procurement as well as our excellent relationship with the steel mill in Germany and the rolling mill in the Netherlands we were able to secure the tight delivery schedule of the jacket,&#8221; continued Remco van Gilst, Commercial Manager of Heerema Vlissingen.</div>

<br />
</strong></div>
<div>Heerema Vlissingen together with sister company HFG Engineering, originally specialised in offshore engineering and fabrication of structures for clients in the oil &amp; gas industry, have successfully leveraged their expertise to execute this challenging project in the relatively new offshore wind energy market. The engineering started in November 2007 and construction in March 2008. On 10 May the jacket and topside were loaded on a sea-going barge for transportation to the German sector of the North Sea. After seafastening operations, the platform has set sail on 25 May from Heerema Vlissingen and will arrive on site at 26 May. The 4,800 tons weighing HVDC-station, will be installed by Heerema Marine Contractors in Leiden (the other division of the Heerema Group) in a waterdepth of approximately 40 meters. </div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>
<div align="center"><img border="0" alt="" src="/Portals/2/Content/NewsMedia/News/Load-out HVDC-station at Heerema Vlissingen.jpg" width="300" height="199" /></div>
</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>&#8220;A remarkable joint effort of our first EPC project in the emerging worldwide offshore wind energy sector. This project has definitely positioned HFG Engineering, as well as the HFG fabrication yards, as a fully integrated service provider for engineering, procurement, fabrication and project management&#8221;, according to President Stan Bogiel of HFG Engineering.&nbsp;<br />
</div>
<div>Wim Matthijssen, Managing Director of Heerema Vlissingen continues: &#8220;We are proud to successfully have executed this challenging project in a relatively new market for Heerema Fabrication Group . Together with our highly skilled workforce and project management team we were able to complete this project on schedule. But also thanks to our close relationship with our client ABB. The successful execution of this project has opened opportunities for Heerema Fabrication Group in the globally renewable energy industry.&#8221; <br />
</div>
<div>The HVDC-station will be part of one of the world&#8217;s largest offshore wind farm &#8216;Borkum 2&#8217; located 130 kilometres off the German coast in the North Sea. The &#8216;Borkum 2&#8217; wind farm, owned by E.ON Netz Offshore GmbH in Germany, will be the most remote wind farm in the world. The 80 wind turbines will generate 400 MW in total, sufficient to power approx. 375,000 homes. ABB developed an innovative HVDC Light (High-Voltage Direct Current) transmission, which convert the energy generated by the offshore wind turbines at the offshore HVDC-station and transmits it through a 175 kilometers direct current cable to shore.&nbsp;<br />

<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>
<div align="center"><img style="width: 640px; height: 480px" border="0" alt="" src="/Portals/2/Content/NewsMedia/News/Photo web - Ondertekenen overeenkomst Bedrijfsvakschool Metaal Drechtsteden.jpg" width="640" height="480" /></div>
<br />
</div>
<div><strong>Historie Bedrijfsvakschool</strong> <br />
</div>

Ltd., Singapore for the design, production, supply and installation of the main cooling water system of the Shell ECC plant on Pulau Ular in Singapore. </div>
<div><img border="0" alt="" src="/Portals/2/Content/NewsMedia/News/Grootint GRP high pressure_large diameter piping.JPG" width="400" height="300" /></div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The contract comprises delivery of a closed cooling water system of 3.1 kilometer glass-fibre reinforced vinylester piping system of which the majority will be positioned approx. 5 meter in the ground. The piping system will have an enormous diameter, which varies from 2.60 to 2.70 meter. Due to the nature of the plant, Shell demanded a very high design pressure of 10 Bar. In combination with the hugh diameter of the piping, Grootint GRP has achieved a major milestone in the capabilities of Glass-fibre Reinforced Piping (GRP) systems. </div>
<div>Currently more than 60% of the installation is completed and it is expected that it will be completed at the beginning of 2009. </div>
<div>&#8220;We recently successfully completed two of a total of four hydrostatic tests. In these tests, the system was pressurised to 15 bar for six hours. This pressure is 50% higher than the design pressure of 10 bar. A major achievement of which I&#8217;m very proud&#8221;, says Managing Director Alcuin de Weert of Grootint GRP Systems. &#8220;Recently we also received an award from Shell for the best performing contractor (out of 51) of the month, without a single LTI. Even more reason to be proud on our site team in Singapore&#8221;, continues De Weert. </div>

</div>
<div>Heerema Vlissingen, one of the three construction yards of Heerema Fabrication Group (HFG) completed the construction of the Hasdrubal oil and gas platform. The topside has been loaded from the construction quay in Vlissingen on a seagoing barge for transport to the Gulf of Gabes, approx. 110 kilometres offshore Tunisia in the Mediterranean.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>In June last year the construction of the Hasdrubal platform started at Heerema Vlissingen yard. This 2,450 tons weighing platform for BG Tunisia is not a heavy weight but the contract is in many aspects very challenging. The construction represents in total approx 300,000 man hours.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The topside has 5 decks, a weight of 1,450 ton and measures 46 x 30 x 29 meter. The jacket has a weight of 1,000 ton and a length of 70 meter. Within the scope of the contract also the final concept and design, as well as the transport to Tunisia, offshore installation and hooking up the platform are Heerema&#8217;s responsibility. Furthermore, Heerema Vlissingen will also provide training to the people of BG Tunisia on location, how to work the platform. Especially offshore installation, hooking up the platform, training on location and all of this within a very tight time schedule, characterizes the unique position of a European construction company like Heerema Vlissingen.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>&#8220;Our reputation for high quality workmanship, securing schedule and budget were the main reasons for BG Tunisia to award us this extended EPIC contract. Without our highly motivated team in Vlissingen this was absolutely not feasible. The dedication and expertise of our people to accomplish this very challenging project proves again our strength! Also noteworthy is that we completed the project without a single lost time injury&#8217;, according to Wim Matthijssen, Managing Director of Heerema Vlissingen. <br />
The Hasdrubal platform will be installed in a water depth of 60 meter and approx. 110 kilometer offshore Tunisia. BG Tunisia is the operator of&nbsp; Hasdrubal and owns the field together with ETAP. It is expected that the platform will be operational in 2009.</div>

<div>The new pumps contribute to an improved reliability whilst minimizing environmental damage from polluted water. Furthermore, it also reduces the possible danger of explosion.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Safety of personnel is priority number ONE to the Heerema organization. One of the many activities to stimulate this safety behavior is this &#8216;Safety Incentive Scheme&#8217;. Every month Heerema, as well as customers, donates an amount of money in this fund. The amount of money depends on measured criteria. Employees of Heerema can make a request to which organization or charity fund they would like to donate the money. Since the start of this initiative Heerema has donated for more than 30,000 Euro to charity funds and organizations.</div>

Recently a contract has been signed between Nexen Petroleum U.K. Limited&nbsp;(Nexen) and Heerema Vlissingen (Heerema) for the engineering, procurement and construction of a 3,500 Te jacket and 8 piles for the fourth platform on Nexen&#8217;s Buzzard oilfield in the UK North Sea.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The 3,500 Te jacket will measure 42 x 42 x 124 meter with 8 of 96&#8221; piles. The construction is scheduled to start in August 2008 and the jacket and piles will be ready for sail-away in the 3rd quarter of 2009.&nbsp; </div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Peter Self, Vice President Sales of HFG said: &#8220;A key to this contract award is the confidence Heerema was able to give Nexen in achieving the early jacket completion schedule for autumn 2009&#8221;. Remco van Gilst, Manager of Projects of Heerema Vlissingen continues: &#8220;A robust overall schedule for jacket completion in August 2009 is to have the total supply chain lined up from a smooth engineering start following up the work done in the tender period, to timely procurement driven by fabrication. The early jacket installation reduces the installation and hook-up work when the topside and bridge, built to suit the as-installed jacket, are installed in the 2010 installation period."</div>

<strong>Heerema Vlissingen, one of the three construction yards of Heerema Fabrication Group (HFG) in Zwijndrecht, has delivered the giant template for the Tombua Landana platform. <div>Construction work for the fabrication of the 3,000 ton weighing template and twelve 625 foot long piles for the Tombua Landana platform started at the Heerema Vlissingen yard in July 2006. Since then more than 240,000 man hours have been worked on this construction, which Heerema Vlissingen fabricated for DSME on behalf of Cabinda Gulf Oil Company (CABGOC) and its partners. </div>

DSME, main contractor for the construction of the complete platform, together with CABGOC have chosen Heerema Vlissingen due to the stringent dimensional requirements. The template has been built with a tolerance of only 3 millimeters between the cylinders, where the piles have to be driven into the seabed. This meant a tremendous accuracy during construction. </div>

<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The load-out of the 2,000 tonne Sean Compression Module at the Heerema Hartlepool yard on August 2, marked the successful completion of the construction for its client Shell U.K. Ltd. After the necessary seafastening operation on the AMT Discoverer barge, the unit with a length of 28 metres, a width of 30 metres and a height of 22 metres has set sail for its final destination in the U.K. Southern North Sea on August 28.&nbsp;Installation of the module will be performed by Heerema Marine Contractor&#8217;s Hermod crane vessel.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div><img border="0" alt="" src="/Portals/2/Content/NewsMedia/News/Sean_sail-away.jpg" width="380" height="254" /></div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Heerema Hartlepool was awarded the fabrication contract by Shell U.K. in June 2006 after conclusion of the concept selection study. This study work concluded that the optimum concept would be a new compression module located on the existing PD platform topsides. </div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The total construction work at the Heerema Hartlepool yard took 12 months to complete, having started in July 2006.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>&#8220;With the sail-away of the Sean Compression module from our site in Hartlepool we are proud to have successfully completed another construction unit on time. We worked closely with Shell to further enhance our safety record on this project. Thanks to our dedicated and experienced people and the talent to manage today&#8217;s complex, multi-disciplined projects, we can continue to be successful in a highly competitive market&#8221;, says Bill Fahy of Heerema Hartlepool.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The successful completion of the Sean Compression project will help Shell to meet its supply contracts in the U.K. for peak gas demand during winter periods. The owners of the Sean Field are BP (50%), Shell (25%) and Exxon Mobil (25%), with Shell being the operator.</div>

<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>A key contract for the Topside Fabrication and Integration for the new installation on the Valhall field is in the process of being finalized with Heerema Zwijndrecht by BP Norway. The Topside Fabrication and Integration contract covers the fabrication, integration, mechanical completion, commissioning assistance and load-out of the topsides deck. It furthermore holds an option to fabricate the 500 tonnes Solids Handling Module.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The value of the contract is estimated at Euro 118 million and will generate approx. 1.3 million man hours for the Heerema Zwijndrecht yard, where the construction will be performed.&nbsp;The topsides deck has a weight of&nbsp;11,000 tonnes and the flare boom of 350 tonnes.<br>Once the fabrication engineering is completed, it is expected that the construction work will start at the end of the third quarter of 2007 and is scheduled for mechanical completion in October 2009. </div>
<div><br>&#8220;We are very proud to have been awarded one of the key contracts for fabrication of the main deck on our Heerema Zwijndrecht yard&#8221;, says Wim Matthijssen, managing director of the yards Heerema Zwijndrecht and Heerema Vlissingen. &#8220;Fabrication of complex structures like this 11,000 ton weighing topside for the Valhall Re-Development project is our expertise and we are very excited to work on a deck, which will be part of the most environmental friendly fields offshore Norway&#8221;, continues Wim Matthijssen. </div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The Valhall Re-Development consists of a new combined living and process installation to replace the original installations on the field. The whole field will be supplied with power from a 292 km long power cable from Lista, Norway. &#8220;This will make Valhall one of the most environmental friendly fields offshore Norway and will result in a safer and more efficient source of power supply&#8221;, according to BP.</div>
<div><br>The contract award is subject to partner deciding to proceed and Governmental approval of the Plan for Development and Operation (PDO). PDO will be submitted to the authorities at the end of first quarter 2007.</div>

This facility, comprising a 4-leg main pile jacket, an underwater gas-cooler and topside, forms part of the Cavendish gas project in the North Sea's Southern basin (British sector).</P>
<P>Heerema Vlissingen is very pleased winning this contract. After successful delivering several ?Heerema Vlissingen concept? facilities in the Dutch sector of the North Sea in the past, the Cavendish platform will be the first own concept facility in the British Sector of the North Sea. Looking at the future prospects, Heerema Vlissingen is keen on supplying similar facilities in the North Sea. </P>
<P>The field will be developed by three production wells drilled from the NUI and tied back to ConocoPhillips' Murdoch platform, located about 44 kilometres to the south-east. Gas will then be exported via the Caister Murdoch System trunk pipeline to the Theddlethorpe gas terminal in Lincolnshire where it will be sold into the UK gas market.</P>
<P>The detailed engineering will be performed by Genesis Oil &amp; Gas in the UK, followed by the construction at the Heerema Vlissingen yard in October 2005. The completion and delivery is scheduled for late April 2006. First gas is expected in October 2006 at rates of around 100 million cubic feet per day with the field forecast to continue until 2016.</P>
<P>The contract will employ approximately 80 personnel at peak periods and will benefit many local companies.</P>
<P>Heerema Vlissingen is looking forward to working closely with RWE to achieve the successful implementation of this Cavendish platform.</P>

The conclusion is that the demand will not support existing fabrication capacity and thus reductions will be required.<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;Following a careful review of development scenarios of the Norwegian Continental Shelf, the board of Heerema Fabrication Group has with regret concluded that the demand for fabrication services will not support operating the yard in T&#248;nsberg. This conclusion is based on evaluation of both short term and long term scenarios. It reflects both the shortage of projects and the increasing contents of fabrication from low cost countries.<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;Consequently it has been decided that the yard will be closed in an orderly fashion, when ongoing commitments have been completed. That is likely to happen in the spring of 2005. With immediate effect Heerema T&#248;nsberg will stop tendering for fabrication work for execution in Norway.<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;The company will work with the employees to minimise the impact, and will in any case try to assist the employees in finding new work as they are being made redundant.<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;Heerema Fabrication Group stands behind all commitments made by Heerema T&#248;nsberg until completed or transferred to a new owner in full understanding with the respective clients. <div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Production start of the Ormen Lange field is planned for October 2007. Ormen Lange is the largest gas field under development on the Norwegian continental shelf. It is located 100 km off the northwest coast of Norway at a water depth of 850 to 1,100 meters. <br>&nbsp;</div>
<div>The selected development scenario for Ormen Lange is a subsea tie back to a shore terminal. <br>The initial development will consist of two 8-slot production templates (A &amp; B) located approximately 3,8 km apart. Each production template will produce gas through dual 20&#8221; manifold headers. The production headers on template A and B will be connected to the two 30&#8221; pipelines by means of 20&#8221; tie-in spool system. The two 30&#8221; lines transport the well fluid (mainly gas) to the shore terminal.</div>

<P>Heerema has been awarded the contract by EnCana (U.K.) Limited to construct the 9,500 ton Utility Deck which forms part of the Buzzard Development Project. The Utility Deck will be constructed at the Heerema facilities in Hartlepool.</P>
<P>Heerema Hartlepool Director Mr. Brian Dixon stated: "We are absolutely delighted to be awarded this prestigious contract, as it is the first large integrated deck to be awarded to a UK contractor for over 5 years.</P>
<P>"It is not only a reward for our skilled and loyal work force, but also a terrific accomplishment for Heerema to be awarded this contract against strong European competition. It will ensure continued employment for our excellent workforce after the completion of the Clair Drilling Facility in early 2004. </P>
<P>"As well as our reputation for completing and delivering a high quality product on time, we believe that the excellent working relationships between the Heerema management, the work force and the GMB union have also played an important part in Heerema being selected by EnCana for this important contract".</P>
<P>Construction will begin in early 2004, with completion and delivery scheduled for the second quarter of 2006. The contract will employ approximately 700 personnel at peak periods and will benefit many local companies and the Hartlepool community.</P>
<P>Heerema is looking forward to working closely with EnCana to achieve the successful implementation of the Buzzard Project.</P>

<div><br>Heerema T&#248;nsberg has entered into an alliance with Future Engineering in Sandefjord and IV Oil &amp; Gas in Holland. Both engineering companies have long experience in the oil and gas industry. The BP contract confirms the strength and competence of this alliance.</div>
<div><br>The engineering work for the platforms will start immediately in the offices of Future Engineering in Sandefjord. Construction of the topside with equipment will take place in T&#248;nsberg, and will start in December 2001. This coincides with the reduced demand for structural work for the ongoing Ringhorne project. The contract provides work at Heerema T&#248;nsberg until the summer of 2003.<br></div>
<div>All construction work related to the platform will be executed by companies within the Heerema Group. Construction of the jacket will take place at Heerema Havenbedrijf in Vlissingen, Holland, whilst the transport and installation of the platform will be undertaken by Heerema Marine Contractors in Leiden, Holland.<br></div>
<div>BP is an important client to Heerema T&#248;nsberg, and this is the third BP contract awarded to Heerema T&#248;nsberg since 1995. BP is operator of the Valhall Field and has extensive investment plans in the near future since the oil and gas deposits in this field are assumed to be far more considerable than previously estimated.</div>
