The jacket and topside of the Breagh Alpha platform were built by HFG's fabrication locations in Vlissingen and Zwijndrecht, respectively. RWE Dea UK awarded the Engineering, Procurement and Construction contract in the summer of 2010.

This fast track EPC project was executed in parallel with the construction of the RWE Clipper South platform and completed within a year after contract award. The platform achieved the highest possible completion and commissioning levels onshore.

Genesis Oil & Gas in London was subcontracted for the topside design. The jacket was designed by our in-house engineering firm HFG Engineering. The topside of the Breagh Alpha platform were built at our yard in Zwijndrecht and consists of a three layer deck plus a helicopter platform.

Heerema Vlissingen yard started the construction of the jacket, designed by HFG Engineering, at the beginning of 2011. Only 6 months later the jacket sailed to its offshore destination for installation in the Breagh field, in a waterdepth of 62 metres.
