AREVA awarded HFG's Hartlepool fabrication facility at the end of 2009 with the fabrication contract of two offshore platform topsides for the Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm. The two Sheringham Shoal offshore wind platforms will be supplied with electrical energy from 8 wind turbines each with a height of 80 meters.

After 11 months after the fabrication start, Heerema Hartlepool delivered the two topsides to the client ready for offshore installation in September 2010. The fabrication project consisted of two non identical electrical substations for the Sheringham Shoal offshore windfarm platform topsides.
